Sports Consultation

See clearly. Move confidently. Perform at your best.

Whether you’re cycling, running, playing golf, skiing, sailing, shooting, playing racquet sports or enjoying another active hobby, the right performance eyewear can make a significant difference.

My Sports Consultation is a dedicated one-hour appointment focused on understanding how you use your eyes and what you need from your performance eyewear. We’ll discuss your sport, your environment and the demands placed on your vision before selecting the most appropriate frame and lenses for you.

This isn’t simply about finding a pair of frame and lens combination looks good. It’s about finding eyewear that works with you, your activity and the way you move.

Your activity comes first

Every sport and active hobby presents different visual challenges.

During your consultation, we’ll talk through:

The sport or activities you take part in

How frequently you participate and at what level

Indoor or outdoor environments

Typical lighting and weather conditions

The distances and areas you need to see most clearly

Your existing prescription and visual requirements

Any difficulties you currently experience with your vision or eyewear

What you need from your performance eyewear in terms of comfort, stability and protection

Understanding these details allows me to recommend a frame and lens combination specifically suited to your requirements.

The right frame and the right lens

Choosing performance eyewear is about much more than your prescription.

The frame needs to sit securely and comfortably while you’re active, without becoming a distraction. The lenses need to provide the appropriate optical performance for your activity and the conditions in which you participate. Depending on your requirements, we can consider factors such as:

Prescription: ensuring your vision is corrected appropriately for the demands of your activity.

Lens design: selecting a lens solution suited to how and where you need to see.

Tint and contrast: considering the lighting and environment in which you are active.

Protection: helping shield your eyes from factors such as wind, glare and airborne debris.

Fit and stability: ensuring the eyewear remains comfortable and secure while you move.

The result is a considered performance eyewear solution rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
